As an observer, you can add an email address and/or a mobile phone number to receive notifications.

1. Click on Account under the global navigation menu on the far left of the screen.
2. Select Settings.
3. Add email addresses and/or mobile phone numbers under Ways to Contact on the far right of the screen.

Once you sign up for Canvas, you will automatically receive notifications by default. Follow the directions below to learn how to adjust how you are notified and how often. Notifications cannot be set for individual courses;.

1. Click on Account under the global navigation menu on the far left of the screen.
2. Select Notifications.
3. Adjust notifications by course activity: Notify immediately, Daily summary, Weekly summary, or Notifications off.
